Locked authoring and synchronization reliability update

Validation Reference

Understand the major validation categories and fix each finding at the authoring or runtime-data owner that produced it.

Pose Overlay 1.0.2 UE5.8

Identity And Structure

Invalid or duplicate stable IDs, missing Neutrals, invalid parents, Context cycles, duplicate State tags, empty Context queries, and invalid stack policy.

Skeleton And Controls

Missing or incompatible Skeleton data, incompatible Control Rig data, unsupported controls, invalid bones, and invalid captured Neutral poses.

Sources And Curves

Missing or duplicate source assignments, invalid primary animation, invalid curve/track targets, duplicate local targets, and non-finite data.

Aim And IK

Invalid Aim profiles, point ownership problems, invalid IK mappings, duplicate target ownership, and mapping cycles.

Runtime Data

Stale synchronized data, unsupported schema versions, invalid runtime spans or references, Skeleton-layout mismatch, and changed external dependencies.

Severity

  • Error: blocks a valid synchronization or runtime result.
  • Warning: should be reviewed but may not block the current operation.
  • Info: explains relevant state or recommended action.

Fix The Owner, Not The Symptom

A validation message is most useful when treated as an ownership pointer. Correct the State, Context, source binding, curve, Aim profile, IK mapping, or external dependency that owns the finding instead of hiding it downstream.
