Author mode shows the selected element’s editable local ownership over the resolved source and parent contribution. Control Rig controls are available here.
Audition
Audition evaluates the current authoring through the Pose Overlay runtime-style pipeline. It can resolve requested States, Context tags, source matching, stack order, transitions, Aim profile selection, and IK mappings.
Use Them Together
- Author the smallest local change.
- Switch to Audition.
- Change source animation, request, Context tags, and weights.
- Return to Author only when you know which element should own the correction.
Transient Versus Synchronized
Audition can represent current dirty authoring through transient compilation. PIE and packaged runtime depend on synchronized data. Treat Audition as a strong authoring check, not as proof that the saved runtime snapshot is current.
