Locked authoring and synchronization reliability update

Bake To Animation Sequence

Export a resolved Pose Overlay selection to new Animation Sequence assets while leaving source assets unchanged.

Pose Overlay 1.0.2 UE5.8

Supported Selections

Bake supports a selected State, Context, Animation Override, or Aim point and exports the resolved result for that selection.

Why Bake

Use Bake when a standalone Animation Sequence is useful for external workflows, handoff, inspection, or a pipeline that does not need runtime Pose Overlay evaluation for that specific result.

Source And Timing

  • State and Context exports use their available source plan.
  • Animation Overrides use assigned source animations and normalized-time authoring.
  • Aim export requires a selected Aim point.

Safe Publication

The destination must not already exist. Pose Overlay stages outputs and publishes them only after required sampling succeeds. Cancellation or failure removes staged work instead of leaving partial assets.

Source Assets Stay Unchanged

Bake creates new Animation Sequence assets. It does not edit the source animation, Skeleton, Control Rig, or Pose Overlay authoring data.
