What Pose Overlay Aim Offset Is
Pose Overlay owns its own standalone Aim field. It does not inspect, repair, or modify an existing project Aim Offset asset.
Why It Lives In The Hierarchy
An Aim profile belongs to a semantic owner such as a Rifle State, a crouching Context, or a source-specific branch. The resolved hierarchy decides which profile is eligible instead of requiring a separate project-side profile selection system.
Authoring Flow
- Select the State, Context, or Animation Override that should own Aim.
- Add or enable its Aim row.
- Configure horizontal and vertical domains.
- Add directional points.
- Author or capture the pose for each point.
- Audition the field across representative inputs.
- Synchronize the Set.
Runtime Flow
Source Pose
-> Pose Overlay Aim Offset
-> Pose Overlay Stack
-> downstream graph
The Aim node samples the selected native Blend Space-style field and publishes sample weights. The Stack applies the selected Aim point layers together with the resolved overlay contribution.
Pass-Through Contract
With no active profile or node Weight zero, the Aim node preserves its input pose.
